F-Hole Restoration

Hiding a ragged edge is much easier than a straight edge!
Most of the woodwork has been done on filling the area of these non-original f-holes now with shavings and a patch from behind as well as solid pieces through the middle section. Time to do some staining and retouching.

Luckily the original f-holes haven’t been enlarged when they were filled by butt-joint method, so I can just remove that repair wood when I’m ready. I guess I have to applaud the previous restorer for not removing any original wood in that area!
