Iris Carr Interview by Emma Hardy
Iris grew up in Philippsburg, a small town near Heidelberg in Germany. Her father was an accountant for the local nuclear power station and her mother looked after both Iris and her two older siblings.

From a little while ago… Replacing an old edge repair with an L-edge including the button area, improving the cracks and covering a knot repair with a thick shaving.

Creating an Online Course in Violin Restoration
When life took an unexpected turn due to the outbreak of the Coronavirus, I started to wonder what would happen in the future with my teaching engagements that I have enjoyed so much over the last 8 years. I have been teaching regularly in many countries including the USA, France and Japan. I was also due to teach in the UK in September 2020, which subsequently had to be cancelled.

A cello f-hole restoration I completed 2 years ago, restoring them to their original position.
