The photos show the fitting of a shaving to cover the chip on a scroll.
It’s handy to have a redundant scroll to hand to end up with the right angle for the repair wood used to avoid reflection issues.
Photo 8 shows the area being covered with semi-gloss Deft to seal it all in. Once dry, I scraped it down and then applied the retouch on top of that.
