Rib Repair
Accidental damage to the C-rib of this brand new viola required taking the top off and gluing and flattening all the splinters back. In this instance I used silk to strengthen the rib.
Old Repair, New Retouch
Painting in those medullary rays across the joints and being more subtle with the colour varnish can make a big difference in disguising an old repair.
