Sunken Soundpost Area
Even though there was a fairly new soundpost patch in this violin, the soundpost area was very sunken and needed pressing in a cast after that area of the cast had been scraped to correct the arching. The soundpost patch was then replaced and the area improved with retouch.
VAT And Online Teaching
By law I have to charge VAT for my Online Courses. “Teachable” is the platform I chose to host my online teaching and up to now I have been very pleased with it.
Retouching
Some overeager cleaning on this violin unfortunately removed some of the original varnish and the violin was dropped off with me to rectify the problem.
Online Course Available Now

Nine months ago, this realisation led to my initial idea of creating an online course in violin restoration. I am excited to be able to finally launch my Online Violin Neck Graft Course today. I hope that this course will become a valuable teaching resource for professional violin restorers at any stage of their career, Violin Shops and Schools.
